Trader or Hero? Security or Privacy?
I love it! Either way you look at it, it is a contradiction. He is a hero in my eyes because, he took the liberty and courage to exploit the government to the American people. His intentions were good but his execution could have been a little better.I understand where the government is coming from, there main task is to keep Americans safe, but does that mean watch us 24/7?
Snowden is a good person deep down, he did the right thing. He did what was morally right. But as a devout user of the internet we must be more cautious when handing over information. What ever you put on the internet is fair game and will be there forever, deleted or not. We need to realize that we are signing over our right to privacy on the internet when using certain sites, and programs.
As technology grows and advances I urge you to please take precaution before diving in the realms of the internet and handing over your online consent to privacy.
I love the picture I put beneath this because it stresses the qualities of American people that they are taking for our "security"
Howard,
ReplyDeleteGreat insight! Edward Snowden is also a hero in my eyes. It does takes a lot of courage to stand up for something you believe in, especially when it is against someone with more power. Great photo! You are so right, every time we log online we are giving up some of our privacy to do so.
